Merriweather

Merriweather is one of the web's most-used serifs — a sturdy, screen-optimized text face with a tall x-height, robust serifs, and real editorial warmth. It was drawn for comfortable on-screen reading, which makes it a superb body face: set it under almost any sans heading and it gives long-form text an authoritative, magazine-like voice. It heads well too, where its sturdy serifs lend weight and presence over a clean sans body. Because its x-height runs tall, it sits in harmony with the modern sans-serifs people most often pair it with.
